Beautiful Princeton New Jersey

Inn at Glencairn, Princeton, NJ
Starting our new assignment in Princeton, New Jersey at the Inn at Glencairn has been one great rolling adventure. Three days after our arrival the unexpected Nor'easter hit which gave us a punch of cold and snow that devastated many parts of New Jersey and surrounding areas. The trees had not yet shed all their leaves and thus created an enormous hazard and mess with the snow piling on in the middle of October. Nonetheless we had a full house and thankfully had power even though many of  our neighbors did not, breakfast was enjoyed by all and the warmth of the Inn was a blessing.

Stone Part circa 1697

Since then we have welcomed guests from all over the country and world.  Spend the night in one of the oldest houses in Princeton; sit in our great room and see the nine foot cooking fireplace. Close your eyes as you take a deep breath and imagine how many meals were cooked in it. The stone part of the house was built around the late 1600's.

Yes, that's really old, then step up into the addition that was put in circa 1700's.  Surrounded by 3 acres of  beautiful partially forested property with  the original stone barn and Smokehouse you will be sure to have wonderful time.  The "Kings Highway" runs right in front of the house-Washington might not have slept here but he must have galloped past it.

Enjoy concerts, plays and more held at Princeton University and  Westminster Choir College. For tours of the area check out Princeton Tour Company, for art, nature, music and food go to Grounds for Sculpture for events all year long.  Christmas time is the perfect time to stroll Palmer Square with quaint shops such as Lindt Chocolates, Ann Taylor, J. Crew and so much more were you can find that unique gift for someone special.  Come experience what Mercer County and the surrounding area has to offer you, wonderful scenery, warm and gracious people; Jon and I welcome you to a wonderful stay at the Inn at Glencairn
Sit in our cozy parlor by the fire and have tea or coffee!
